Zimbabwe National Institute of Rock Engineering (ZINIRE) is an institute that has been set up and accredited as the National Group for the International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (ISRM). Its primary objective is to provide the Chamber of Mines Zimbabwe and its members support in improving rock engineering systems as well as development and up-skilling of practitioners as driven by research and development.
The institute seeks through its members to embrace technological advancement and scientific research fostering skills development in the rock engineering sector of the Zimbabwe mining and civil engineering industries. This will provide a collaborative practitioner and suppliers forum which brings about relevant products to the mining industry. In the quest for Zero Harm in mines, ZINIRE plays a pivotal role in Fall of Ground management.
Every year ZINIRE holds an AGM and Annual Symposium which presents a good networking platform to all practitioners and suppliers. This platform is second to none. We hope you will join us on 25 July 2020 for this event in Bulawayo the City of Kings. Venue will be advised in due course.
